spring has sprung!

We got back on Saturday evening from a wonderful, restful holiday with beautiful weather and lots of time to walk on the beach, relax and do nothing at all if we chose. My kind of vacation.

And coming home was like a vacation too, 23°C and a riot of colour in the garden all weekend. We fired up the barbecue and spent Easter out on the terrace in t-shirts and shorts. The most Easter-ly thing I did this year was to dye a few eggs. Even if your house is a pig-sty and the stuff you still need to unpack has kind of exploded everywhere, you MUST dye eggs. It' just not Easter without them.

The daffodils are working their magic

and in our garden you'll find little surprises in the most unlikely of places

Happy (belated) Easter!

Wasn't the weather absolutely gorgeous this past (long) weekend? No better way to spend the Easter break than a barbecue and lazily hanging around the garden if you ask me :) Lovely daffodils, btw!

You're ah-live! I definitely agree -- Easter isn't Easter until you've dyed the eggs. Your flowers are beautiful!

Ok - stop talking about great weather. It's horrible here still! ARgh! I'm hoping the temps go up, but I seriously doubt we will get to 23C within a week! I can only hope within a month it will be that way for my first tri..

Love all of your pics! Today it's 1C outside and we are having sun and 12C (I hope.)...

Buona Pasqua - Happy Easter (italian). Belated.

Lovely weather. We walked and walked. We spend 2 hrs Friday, 2.5 hrs Sunday and 3.5 Monday walking the trails around our neighborhood. Phew. That's a lot of exercise. I got some color on my lily white skin! Yippeee!
Welcome home.

Easter Eggs!
It was fun this year, everywhere I went the stores wanted to give me one. I got one with my bread on two different days, and even with my cat litter.

Happy to see you back.

Gorgeous photos! Here Spring is not quite as lush, though enough stuff is in bloom to get my allergies going!

Anyway,I don't know if you've seen this meme "Moms around the world" meme that's going around, but I tagged you for it, if you are interested...

I've been gone from your blog for too long but it was good to arrive here and read that you're just back from a lovely holiday.

And spring ... maybe we'll actually have a summer this year. Fingers crossed!
