yes, the stretch marks were worth it
Happy Mother's Day!
Got these from my sweet boys this morning
I won't be able to talk to my own mother today - she has just been through major spinal surgery after many, many months of painful waiting. The Canadian health system certainly has its pros and cons. She is doing just fine now, though, and should be home within a couple of days according to my dad. We're all overjoyed that she'll finally be feeling herself again.

Happy Mother's Day to you, too Mausi! Glad to hear that your Mom is done with the surgery and on the mend. Hubby had two discs removed many years ago and before his surgery he really suffered.
It's gratifying to know that the stretch marks were worth it, isn't it?

Happy post-mother's day. I won't touch the stretch marks comment, suffice it to say mine are from too much starchy german food covered with starchy german sauce.
oh wow, well wishes for a speedy recovery! I guess this is a great year to come and visit her. Seems we are finally changing into warmer weather.. For the first time in years, we had 2 out of 3 days of sunshine for this Victoria day weekend.. But we still have a ton of snow!
by the way, we are going to have to schedule a meet up! I know my swiss friend pflight will be here too.
