slow food

Looking to buy a crockpot in Germany? Sometimes they can be difficult to find, but Martina has just posted a link at the Germany Way mailing list to a great deal on slow cookers at eBay.de. They are in full working order but because the packaging was printed incorrectly or slightly damaged, they're classified as 'seconds' and cost a lot less than one would normally pay.

If I didn't already have one I'd go for it.

Thanks, Martina!

I love my crock pot. I use it all the time. In fact, I used it yesterday to make Sauer Braten for Hubby.

Great price ... I saw one in a local Asia food mart last year, and they were asking for EUR 185 !!! (you read that right!) I ended up getting mine in Singapore for roughly EUR 20, but I had to change the plug. Hmmm. Wonder if I could use another???

I'm still undecided on whether I "need" one - admittedly I'd probably use it, but if you guys could see how many different kitchen "gadgets" we have stored in various corners of our humble abode - because of course there's no way they'd all fit in the actual *kitchen* :-)

papascott - Wow, I see you jumped right in there. Happy cooking!

diane - I really like mine but I'm a crockpot newbie and haven't used it nearly enough.

maribeth - Mmm, Sauerbraten is delicious and I'm sure it's so easy in the slow cooker.

mikeb - Yeah, I paid quite a bit more for mine a couple of years ago. I have the bigger one and I sort of wish I'd gone for the smaller size sometimes.

martina - Tell me about it! My whole basement is full of kitchen gadgets, some of which I actually use but have to drag upstairs every time I need them.

Hey: I love slow food (meaning I hate fast food!). Just check my last post from Oslo, Norway about it:
