Happy Canada Day! Have you got any special traditions on this proud day?

Well, then. This calls for a recycling of my "Silly Canadian National Anthem" song. I wrote this for (I think) The Big Finn two or three years ago.

-----------------
Oh, Canada.
We hold our hockey sticks so high.

Oh, Canada.
A puck just hit me in the eye.

Oh, Canada.
Grizzlies, moose and winter squalls.

Oh, Canada.
A puck just hit me in the *****.
----------------

Have a good one, eh?

Happy Canada Day! Did you hoist the flag up this morning?

maribeth - Thanks!

tqe - Wow, Canadians in Indiana? Who knew?

carol - Thank you! We won't be going back until July 2008. Wahhh!

mar - LOL! Happy Canaday is so much faster to say! I like it. :-)I WAS going to bake a cherry pie but I somehow never got around to it.

swenglish - Well, we usually have a barbeque but the kids weren't home today so we just took it easy and waved the flag a bit.

Sal - Awww, thanks! I'm all for recycling. Although your song makes me kind of glad that I don't have any *****. :-)

colourmecrazy - Yep, we always hoist it on July 1 and then leave it up a couple of days.

Happy Canada Day!

Hope you waved your flag high and proud!

What do your neighbours think of you celebrating Canada Day? Do they think it's a bit odd to see a Canadian flag waving?

Happy Belated Canada Day. :)

I love how your flags are crossed. What romantic symbolism...

haddock - Thanks!

J - We've lived in this house for 12 years now so the neighbours are used to it.

Lisa - Uh huh, it's romance 24/7 around here, I tell ya. ;-)

CanSwiss - Hope you had a good one too. Wow, I guess next time you'll be celebrating on Canadian soil??

ginnie - Thanks so much. It was very low key this year since I was so busy I almost forgot! Just imagine.
