oh, the weather outside is frightful!

Good thing I got out and took those fall pictures last week, because it looks like winter has arrived. Driving rain, hail and gale force winds in the north yesterday followed by ground frost overnight and a bit of snow today. Brrr! It's very cold all of a sudden!

I think this piece of artwork done by Boy10 a couple of years ago sums it up nicely.

Hi there! I was invited to my friend's house (who, incidentally, happens to be German) and her mother offered me some "marmorkuchen." Boy was that delicious! But I'm getting off track--I live in Vancouver, and was wondering where your mother bought the Gugelhupf? I'd like to have a go at making some marble cake. Thanks for your time!

Yeah, I think that weather is supposed to bounce off us this weekend. Between the sudden cold and the sun setting at 5.15, it' winter in central Europe, isn't it?

anjo - Hi! Thanks for visiting. We got it at Home Sense at the Village at Park Royal in West Van but I think you could find one at any housewares store. I'm pretty sure I also saw some at Wal-Mart. Mine is the Kaiser's brand.

Swissmiss - It's quite a shock after the beautiful fall weather we had. I'm digging around today getting all the winter hats and gloves out!

I know exactly what you mean. We had gorgeous weather last weekend and I almost passed on going out and taking photos. Now I'm reaaaaaaally glad I did because I doubt I'll be seeing weather like that here again for a while :o\

I hope you're not too flooded up there :( I was watching the news and thought about you.

Hehe only 2 weekends till the meet!

Yesterday during my drive south to my sister's, I drove through snow, sleet and rain. WOnderful! Guess winter isn't far off now.

Belinda - Nope, we didn't get flooded, thanks for asking. It seems to happen mostly up in the Hamburg and Bremen areas and we're further south.
Looking forward to meeting you!
:-)

Maribeth - Scary! I love snow, but driving in bad weather is NOT one of my favourite pastimes. They're telling people here to get their winter tires on pretty quickly in case we do get a big snowstorm.

Man! I guess I was there at just the right time, wasn't I! But I do think you have given your weather to us, or vice versa, because suddenly Atlanta has dropped several degrees from our 70's the other day. Then again, this IS the time to be thinking about winter, right?

Oh yes. I forgot to mention that the artwork by Boy10 is a masterpeice. You can tell him I said that and mean it sincerely!
