my mind is a blank

Well, you're thinking, what else is new? No, actually my mind isn't a blank, it's so full of this and that right now that I can't think of a thing to write about today. I'm in the process of re-inventing myself. You know, like Madonna does every couple of years, but without the personal trainers and the nannies and the English country manors. I'll let you know when the new me is ready to be revealed, but for today I'll leave you with a few more warm and sunny photos of a place that's very dear to me.

More beach...

More garden...

this one cracks me up...

and this one reminds me of my dear old dad...

Boy, just when I had finally forgotten about that garden and was able to sleep again...

Reinventing yourself? That's always a fun thing to do. I'm amazed that people don't do it more often. I did a little reinvent a bit over a year ago. Just a simple thing like buying contact lenses and shaving a 5+year beard (trimmed weekly, of course) made me feel like a completely different person. And much cheaper than buying a Porsche Cayman.

Anyway...that's exciting news. I'm sure we're all awaiting your coming-out party.

Sal

PS: Hey...don't apologize for the blank mind. It's fun to write about nothing in particular. Seinfeld made millions doing just that.

Will the reinvention include bringing back the unitard, like Madonna? It's like Halloween every day!

Don't reinvent yourself too much -- we like you just as you are. :)

It's Mercury Retrograde, Christina. A good time to revisit those areas you've pursued before. Hmmm. But what would that be, we all wonder. So just rest and let it happen.

Reinventing yourself? Here's my suggestion: become a transsexual midget that likes to get whacked with spoons while eating popcorn in a library.

That'll make you a one of a kind :)

Hope you're well, honey.

Sal - Yep, that garden is amazing - and hey, if you ever get to the West Coast for a vacation you'd be welcomed with open arms. But I thought it was the duck legs that were keeping you up at night. ;-)

I think I'll be reinventing myself more on the inside than on the outside. Sounds pretty ominous, doesn't it? We'll see.

Angie - I promise - no unitards, no pointy bras, no fake English accent. Don't want to scare people too much!

Ginnie - Mercury Retrograde has been totally kicking me in the backside this time around so I'd better do something quick! Revisiting areas I've persued before? Hmmm, indeed. :-)

CanSwiss - Got it. Thanks SO much.

J - Nope, already tried that a few years ago and it just wasn't a good look for me, you know?

I'm just fine, really. And your comment made me even finer. Thanks for the laugh.

I think I need to reinvent myself too. If only it weren't such hard work!

Stella - I know, I know! If only we could just snap our fingers, eh?

LOL - I love the cat pic! Well can't wait to read the reveal...

I know what you mean when things are blank. I think I'm really having that sort of problem lately..

I love the cat and the Easter Island guy (is it from Easter Island?)!
Enjoy your time. Blogging should be fun and not a chore...

Expat - I don't know who looks crankier, the guy or the cat!

mar Yes, the little man is supposed to be an Easter Island "moai". My mum got a deal on him because he fell down in a storm at the garden centre and had a piece of his nose chipped off. I think it makes him look even better.

Lisa We bought him that parking sign a few years ago and he hung it up beside his garage.

is that last sign for real???

for austrians only????

i haven't heard anything good about that country yet ... there must be good things, mustn't there?

woman wandering - No, no, no, the sign is NOT for real. My dad is Austrian (but emigrated to Canada in the 50's) and we bought it for him several years ago when we were in Vancouver because we thought it was funny. They had almost ever other nationality as well.

I enjoyed your beach and garden pictures. Ah, I would love to go to the beach; but it's a little too cold right now and rainy.
