wave that flag

As always, there was food...

and kids...

When you're 13, Canada Day is just, like, soooo 5 minutes ago...

But *I* still retain my youthful exuberance

Happy Canada Day, eh?

Hey! What kind of pie is that, eh?

And why do I not see any bottles of Molson?

Maribeth - Thanks! The chairs are teak - we bought them to last for the next 20 years. And yes, the younger boy keeps us on our toes.

Hey Sal - It's rhubarb custard streusel pie. Looks squishy, tastes good.

And no Molson this time. Must pick up a few cases when we go over.

Happy Canada Day! It seems to have been an exciting event... I believe your national day turns more important when you live away from your country... I just wonder how far you have to move from Sweden to start caring about June 6th...?

I'm glad y'all do something for Canada Day. I'd like to say that I do something for Fourth of July but, alas, I don't.

It's a teenager thing - the "uncool", "boring" family celebrations. Had that phase myself, a few hundred years ago ;-)

I think Boy13 is corageous, at least he is there, he didn't run to hide in the woods to escape the celebration (as a few people I know would have done at that age). He'll get back into the mood in a few years... :)

Belated Happy Canada Day! Now that I'm offline at home, I'll probably miss a few more holidays. Sorry about that.
