Awwww. Nothing says "I love you" like sushi. Not sure what kind of message those tarts are sending, but it seems like you got it. :D
Congratulations to both of you! Roses sushi and strawberries... I'd keep one like that, too. ;-)

Christina,Thanks for the post - I read this year's and last year's. So it's clear you wouldn't have done it this way again. What would you have done? Stayed in Canada? Is there no possibility now of all going back?
Happy, happy gestures for a milestone! All so pleasing to the eye (and stomach!).
yummy! Yes I must go eat, I'm starving.

I get hungry whenever I see pictures of food too.Sigrun - Hi and thanks for visiting. Ja, ich spreche fließend Deutsch. Ich wohne seit 1990 in Deutschland. Mein Mann nennt mich immer Mausi.
A belated Happy Anniversary to you both. I really enjoyed the post about your grandmother. How cool to find the newspaper write-up about her wedding day!
Thanks, lily! I think our cousin did a ton of research and was lucky enough to come across other members of the family who had kept all this kind of stuff. We're were so happy to have it passed on to us.
Hi, Christina, how cute that your husband calls you "Mausi". My mom (she's German) calls me "Mäuschen" - to this day!!Emma
