hey, I can keep a secret. sort of.

No time for a real post today. I'm trying to shovel a path throught the daily debris to make room for my two mystery expat lunch guests who will be here tomorrow! I'm so excited. English-speaking people are coming to my house and I know for a fact that they will be wielding cameras instead of axes. And it's supposed to be partly sunny on Wednesday! And there will be latte macchiato! Could life get any better?

In other important news, today is my mother's AND my mother-in-law's birthday. Isn't that special? 70 and 72 respectively and still looking beautiful and going strong. That's something to strive for.

And just to keep the interest level up - I went shopping on the weekend and bought some much-needed new undies. My question of the day: underwire bras - a blessing or a curse? Please discuss.

Back tomorrow with the low down...

Ohhhh. I'm first! Happy 70th and 72nd birthdays, Mausi Mums! BTW, I have guessed who your mystery guests are, but I won't tell a "soul" ;-)

Underwire bras? It's all I wear and NOT because I've got "too much to carry". I wonder what the guys will answer ;-)

First thing that comes to mind is "WTMI !" We don't have to wear the things, so we really don't think of these things ... Sorry. Is the correct answer, "A Curse?"

I know! I know! (as does CS!?!) I would visit you for the latte macchiato alone--but you know that. Actually, I would visit you for YOU. And yes, I would bring my camera :) (Who, me?)

Congrats to 70 and 72! The closer I get, the more congrats I send (ha)!

Underwire, of course! I learned that from my daughter who used to work for Victoria's Secret. We want all foundations to be stable, no matter how small or large :)

I'm an A-cup, so I have no particular preference between wire vs. no wire.

Looks like a blessing, feels like a curse!

and Happy Birthday to the two young ladies :D

Oh oh.... Let's see it's a conspiracy between CS and Ginnie... Hmmm.... Pretty fishey! I think I have that same problem not much time to blog just yet, not for exciting reasons, just finishing taxes...

The bra thing - I totally agree with belinda.

And Sal, maybe you should show off your bra in public some time. ;-)

Some bloggers have all the fun! I'm looking forward to all the gossip come tomorrow. Don't forget the pics. A very happy birthday to both Moms and...
Underwire is definitely a curse. I've been impaled on just about every bra I've ever owned. LOL

CanadianSwiss - it's all I wear too, but why do they have to be so darn uncomfortable? As for the mystery guests - you must be psychic! :-)

Mike - What? You don't like reading about the pros and cons other people's foundation garments? :-)

ginnie - Another psychic! And I'm glad we have it from the source that underwire is the way to go.

Sal! Even for the less well endowed, an underwire bra can be an uplifting experience. But, OK, I guess the question for you would be briefs or boxers?

Belinda - You got it. I'd say a blessing at about 8 a.m. and a curse at about 8 p.m. when you're just dying to fling it across the room.

expat - You'll find out soon! :-) And underwire gets another point, I see. I'm not too sure, however, that we want to see Sal's choice of bra, although it *would* make a fascinating post, possibly leading to a book deal.

seawitch - we're hoping the weather holds out. And yeah, I've been impaled a couple of times myself. They should make whoever designs these things wear them for a week and see how they like it.

Euro-trac - I like a woman who can make up her mind! :-)

Eurotrippen - They certainly are. Especially the crunchy ones, eh?

Underwires. No fun.

And don't let those mystery guests in before you verify they've had their shots. ;)

Are there bras with no underwires? certainly not in Thailand.... :-(

dixie - Don't you worry - I'll ask to see a vaccination certificate AND I'll be counting the teaspoons before they leave. ;-)

lillian - Yes, they do have them here, they're called "soft cup bras" or something, but I don't think they really do the job. :-)

At first they're lovely but after a week or two those wires are always sticking in my armpits! (I usually end up pulling them out and then the bra is mmmmmmm comfy)

aww christine, you shouldn't have told everyone I was coming:) hahah, I wish! I want mystery guests..but I guess, since I just live in boring usa, i will have to wait a long time!

Underwires are a belssing, but a curse when the wire pops through and pokes you in the boob, then you have to pull it out while driving, leave it in the car, till the frog says..."what in the world is this thing?" and I fumble for an excuse, and remember that my boob is lopsided without it!
