feeling blue
No, not really, but I think I may be coming down with something (too much ice??) and my brain isn't quite up to blogging today.
I was digging through some pictures earlier and found these from 2002 when my parents still lived in Lions Bay near West Vancouver. I grew up in a different house, but looked out on a similar view every day and I really miss it sometimes.
This was the view from their deck when we were there visiting. I love the different shades of blue and green.

and a sunset thrown in for good measure...

wow - such lovely photos and so different than the view I get to see here in North Van. I love the sunset photo the most!
Absolutely beautiful! I feel a bit that way myself today!
Those are beatiful, Christina. You really make me want to go back home!!!
Beautiful!
I also love the sunset photo the most, but they were all great.
Really gorgeous pictures!
Wow, waking up to that view every morning one must be quite happy to just spend the day looking out the window.
Can you swim in the lake?
I totally agree with loving the blues and greens. Oh so gorgeous!
Incredible... Those pictures were something else...
*gasp* The view is absolutely gorgeous!!
Can't you just imagine those photos as paintings by the Group of Seven?
Expat - Yes, they had an almost panoramic view right up Howe Sound and the house was on a hill so there was nothing to get in the way.
CanadianSwiss - I'm always pining for the fjords. :-) The ocean and the mountains are what I miss the most, I think.
Franzie - That's not a lake, it's the Pacific Ocean! :-) Lions Bay is on the West Coast of British Columbia in a fjord called Howe Sound.
Ginnie - I can't remember what time of day that was, but towards evening, everything turns purple and it's even more delightful.
traveller one - A lot of local B.C. artists use the area for inspiration because of the wonderful colours.
This is some really nice scenery ... makes me homesick for the place ;~)
Hope you feel better.
Thanks, Mike. I am feeling better. And yeah, that scenery could probably make anyone homesick.
Oh my! Those are beautiful pictures. You saw such views every day? Whew... that's tough to follow. Wow. Sigh.
Glad to hear you're feeling healthy again. That sunset pic is wonderful. You've got a good eye.
wooooopsy!!! Well so much about my knowledge of Canada. I still think the view is absolutely amazing, knowing that it's the Pazific makes it more awsome still.
Can't get over that sunset. It is precious!
Beautiful
Amazing pics! Love the sunset view and I bet British Columbia is very beautiful all around!
