A few newspaper jobs back... there was an old bumper sticker on my desk that said, "Just another ho-hum day in paradise." For some reason, I couldn't bring myself to think of working in a news bureau as "paradise"...
This is more like my idea of paradise: http://www.ila-chateau.com/vahine/pic23.jpg
HA! Ginnie does NOT know all but when Mercury goes retrograde (today), it starts slowing down at least a week ahead of time, so we've been sucked in for a week or so! That "escape" button is good for nothing right now!
Well, it hasn't been that poopy of a day, really, but I seem to be in some sort of catatonic state where I can't get motivated to do much of anything at all despite being surrounded by large piles of clutter.
The first picture was actually me at work today. They snapped the photo so quickly that I didn't have time to adjust my hair. I swear it doesn't normally look that bad - just when I rollerblade :)) Happy belated bday to Boy13!!!
These are so perfect and YES I have felt exactly like that some days. It's like "will 4:30pm hurry up and get here already"! But I guess the grass is always greener, and the last time I was between jobs for 2mos I was bored out of my mind, so I hope this "escape" will be everything I hope it to be.

Yes, especially the first. Actually, that was most of last year.
Ginnie says it has to do with mercury! But all lasst week was kinda like that for me!
ja
Ginnie knows all! It must be Mercury. :-)
Love the dog cartoon :)
I love that you can be having a poopy day but you're still able to find some humor in it. That certainly makes the crummy days easier to take.

The first one - oh yes! And catatonia...yes...:-)
I can relate…perhaps with a little too much familiarity.
All to often I am afraid! if only that escape button did work, eh?

Lydia - Blogger is being a bit wonky about signing in.
But what if the escape button did work? Where would we all end up?
