guess what I'm making for lunch?
Reservations!! Woohoo! The boys and Mr. M are off today so we're on our way to Dullsville's gourmet temple - the Chinese buffet. Yum! You'd be excited too if you saw the other restaurants around here.
After lunch Boy12 and I are going downtown to get him some new pants (trousers) because he's developed this nasty habit of growing a couple of inches every few months. Boy9 is hot on his heels so we're now placing bets on how long it will be until I'm the shortest person in the family.
And thank you all so much for your great comments on my German school system post. We (Mr. M, Boy9 and I) are scheduled for a conference with Boy9's teacher on Wednesday afternoon. We'll see if anything comes of that.

Enjoy lunch and the shopping. Get's expensive to buy clothing at that age. Not only do they grow like mad, that's when they get picky, too!
Have a great lunch! You're making me hungry....
And all the best with the conference!
Oooh! Enjoy! I *heart* Chinese buffet!
So glad everything resolved with the comfort of Chinese Food! Binge dear, binge!
Enjoy lunch; Chinese food sounds wonderful; I'm home with grilled cheese and hot dogs...
And good luck on Wednesday,
Cathy
Hope you had a fun time out! Getting out of the house is always fun!
I still have the two bottles of pickle on my counter top!!! I will send them off this week... what is wrong w/ my head? I have been forgetting everything lately.
Reservations are always the most fun type of lunch to make. I hope you had luck with the trousers! It's only breakfast here and fast aproaching your dinner time and I still can't even think about what I'd eat for lunch yet!
An English friend of mine says that when he was a kid he went with a bunch of “lads” to see a John Wayne movie at the cinema. In the movie, Wayne said he had to put on his “pants”, which caused all the “lads” in the cinema to erupt with laughter. American’s wouldn’t understand the joke.
I remember a time when even in America, “trousers” was the accepted term for that particular item of men’s apparel. Pants…pantaloons…was women’s apparel.
Obviously a crack in the American macho bullshit façade. ;)
Mmmmm...few things are more fun than going out for lunch and then shopping.
Haven't tried German Chinese yet. I'm brave - but....
Please report in after dining.
Oooh...Chinese Buffet...I know where I'll be having lunch today!
Chris and I are addicted to the Chinese buffet in our town. We go so often the owner often gives us free food just for spending so much money there :O
just wanted to chime in and say hello after my hiatus! :D
A Chinese Buffet for Chinese New Year
woof woof woof!!!
I remember how glad I was when DS couldn't get his feet in my shoes! He would drag around the house in my best shoes and there was no stopping him. Well, those days are over.
Christina, where are you? Don't tell me you're still eating Chinese food... I don't believe you. :) Missed your funny bits, hope to hear from you soon!
Wow, I had Indian, Thai, Mexican and Greek while in Germany, but never German Chinese! Let's hope you're taking an Angie-eque blogging break and not suffering from a bout of food poisoning. :)
It's Wednesday afternoon here in Hannover, Christina, and I can hardly wait to find out about your school conference! My best thoughts and wishes are flying your way!
