Boy12, Boy9 and a few of their friends went out singing for candy for about 3 hours this afternoon.
Just look what my two arrived home with.
Who in the world is going to help them eat it all?

that's unbelievable...I now officially hate Halloween because I am certain that I have gained at least 2 pounds since...can't let the stuff go to waste, can't let the kids eat it all, can't throw perfectly good candy away.....you get the idea! ENJOY!!:)
You know what? I ate a TON of candy at Halloween and during the week after but I didn't gain weight - a miracle for me. I guess it was because I was eating just candy and not much else.
What a great example I'm setting for for my kids. :-)

What's this "singing for candy" stuff? Is there a certain day one does it? Or can one just go around and sing for candy whenever one feels like it? In any case, I'm all for it... just would like to know the particulars.
Disregard previous post -- just found the answer in your previous blog. Sorry I missed my window. And, I don't think they do that in Massachusetts. But I'm enourmously pregnant right now, and I bet if I did haul my happy kiester out to sing for neighbors, they'd throw me some leftover Halloween candy, or maybe a bin of fallen autumn leaves...

Too late for a SAE! They've eaten almost all of it already, the little devils. I hardly got anything.
Crystal - they got some new stuff that I hadn't even heard of before and it all looked delicious.
And Cathy...don't be envious. That fact that I didn't gain weight this time means that I only need to lose 3o lbs instead of 32! :-)
