Go, Lance!

And go he did. As predicted, Lance Armstrong is the man once again. No surprise really - it was pretty clear right from the start that he'd win. I'm sure most of us can only dream of having that kind of focus and mental discipline. I wonder what challenge he's going to take up next.

Re Freiburg: You should visit them. This town is a lovely place indeed. The local speciality, Flammkuchen, is worth a try. Also, Basel, a stone's throw away, is a beautiful place (unless you get close to the HQs of Roche and Novartis). Excellent food and wine in this region. Plus sunshine galore. If you make it to Basel, consider the Restaurant Teufelhof (the Weinstube is very reasonably priced and offers high quality and service) in the old part of the city or the Saege in the village of Flueh (10 km away, expensive, but worth it).

Re Boy12: So what's his shoe size then?

Re Lance: Maybe he is going to work on his not exactly sparkling personality. That would certainly be a challenge.

Best regards from Berlin,

Hi JCS - Freiburg does sound nice. Our neighbour says it has a real Mediterranean flair. I think in a way they're happy to get out of this little hole of a town.

Re Boy 12: he usually wears size 44 or 45 depending on the size of the shoe.

Re Lance: Well, yes, he'll probably never win the Mr. Congeniality prize, but he *is* an outstanding athlete. Not bad looking either.
